Voice of America Interview Brings Calls from Around World
WASHINGTON D.C. April 22, 2002--Phaeton leader Dr. David West Reynolds appeared on Voice of America's "Talk to America," the highlight of a Washington media tour for Reynolds' new book APOLLO: The Epic Journey To The Moon. During an hour-long show Reynolds fielded live calls from many nations including Nigeria, South Africa, China, Croatia, New Zealand, Kenya, England, and Australia. The Nigerian caller had stayed up until 4 a.m. local time to speak to Reynolds. This was Reynolds' first appearance on VOA, America's national radio and TV station, which is transmitted throughout the world.

Reynolds Publishes New Star Wars Book
SAN FRANCISCO April 2002--Phaeton's busy director has a new Star Wars hardcover in the stores, tied to the latest installment in director George Lucas' cinematic saga. Amazon.com says that this book "marks the return of fan-favorite Dr. David West Reynolds as author." Aw shucks, you guys. Reynolds designed and commissioned special props for this project, including space creatures and high-tech "holocrons." The props were built by some of the best artists at Industrial Light & Magic, and photographed for the book by Phaeton's very own imagery wizard Alex Ivanov. Reynolds Speaks at AIAA in Washington
WASHINGTON D.C. April 21, 2002--At the invitation of NASA, our Dr. David West Reynolds served as a speaker at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics conference today. Following a presentation by NASA Chief Historian Roger Launius, Reynolds spoke about his new Apollo book, on a panel entitled "Spaceflight in Art and Literature." Other speakers on the panel were old friends and acquaintances, including Fred Ordway, who designed the spacecraft for 2001: A Space Odyssey, and noted space artist Ron Miller.
