DWR at Mars research station David West Reynolds, Ph.D.
Archaeology
Archaeologist, consultant, space expert, and best-selling author of nine books, David founded Phaeton Group and serves as its director. He combines an academic background with an interest in high-quality communication and public outreach. As a consultant for science-related media, David translates complex technical science into engaging narratives for clients such as Discovery Channel producers. David applies his archaeological training in unorthodox ways, such as locating lost filming sites as a Hollywood location scout. A popular public speaker, David enjoys personal outreach projects and offers presentations on a range of topics in adventure, science, and communications.  Profile page   Current projects

Matt Bliss, Field Operations Capt. R. Matthew Bliss
Field Operations
Pilot and former company commander of a U.S. Army Apache helicopter unit, Matt is also a certified tactical EMT and first-class firefighter. Consistently pursuing action to serve and protect, he is now active in specialized security work for the Federal government.

Greg Aldrete Gregory S. Aldrete, Ph.D.
Ancient History
A Professor and Roman Historian at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay, Greg is published with the Johns Hopkins University Press, Cambridge University Press, and the University of Michigan Press. He has been awarded two fellowships at the American Academy in Rome, and won the 2006 UWGB Founder's Association Award for Excellence in Scholarship. Greg writes chapters and entries for college textbooks and academic encyclopedias, but is best known for his original research. His most recent scholarly book is "Floods of the Tiber in Ancient Rome," published in early 2007.

Michael Ryan Michael J. Ryan, Ph.D.
Paleontology
Curator and Head of Vertebrate Paleontology at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Michael was Head of Field Operations at the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology and before becoming a charter member of Phaeton. Specializing in ceratopsians, the rhinoceros-like horned dinosaurs, he has discovered and described three new dinosaur species. His on-going expeditionary research includes remote locations in Africa, South America, Canada, and Mongolia.


Jack Bobo Jack A. Bobo, M.S., J.D.
Bioscience
A Washington attorney with undergraduate degrees in biology, chemistry and psychology, and an M.S. in Environmental Science, Jack has been a research fellow at Cambridge University, lived for two years in a Gabonese village in the West African jungle, and studied constitutional law in Paris. His current assignment is to the U.S. Department of State as a Foreign Affairs Officer responsible for biotechnology matters.
