The icebreaker's helicopter is an essential piece of equipment in the Arctic wilderness, where there may be no docks, no airports, and no roads for hundreds of miles. This copter carried the Phaeton team to and from the ship for shore landings and aerial photography sorties. Here David West Reynolds can be seen shooting video out the open side hatch.
